I love baking with children, teaching them math skills in a hands-on, fun activity.. I made date bars with children, using my grandma's recipe with oats and sweetened with dates. The children loved the treat, and it brought back memories of my childhood, when I told the children about my grandma's date bars. Children were proud to share what they baked with their parents.
