I am the first girl born which quickly equated to "mom's helper" to my older brothers when it came to making lunches, and changing diapers when it came to my younger siblings. I have had many babysitting experiences, and have worked with newborn infants to 13-14 year olds. Crafts, excursions, & imaginative play are some of my favorite activities.
I used work at a Boys & Girls club as a youth development leader during summers. My class ranged from 36-45 K-1st graders (IT WAS ALOT OF YOUNGSTERS & FUN) which is the age I have had most experience with and I favor. I mean who doesn't favor those adorable toddler years when their personality is really coming out, and every word out of their mouth is pure comedy. We were a collaborative staff which meant I did get the opportunity to work with all the kids who are enrolled in the club at times. I planed activities & worked to make each day an enjoyable one for everyone.
I absolutely love working with kids, I've realized they often teach us much more about ourselves than we could ever teach them, and it's important that every interaction they have with adults, should be positive to help them grow and develop with confidence.
