I've been a volunteer in childcare at my Christian congregation, and it's been such a rewarding experience! I love being part of the kids' growth and development, providing them with a safe and fun environment. During this time, I've learned so much about the importance of patience, empathy, and communication, and I've enjoyed every moment watching the kids learn and have a blast. It's a great way to give back to our community while connecting with the values I hold dear!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing both outdoor and indoor activities with kids. There's nothing quite like a day of playing at the park, where we can run around, play ball, and explore nature together. I also enjoy taking them hiking, searching for bugs and plants, or just flying kites on a sunny day. Indoors, I like to set up creative crafts where we can paint and work on fun projects together. I also enjoy whipping up simple recipes in the kitchen with them and seeing their excitement when they taste what they've made!
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a nanny is the opportunity to provide love and support to children. When I was a kid, my parents hired nannies for me and my sisters, and from that experience, I know how valuable it is to receive genuine love and kindness. I adore kids, and I’m not doing this for the money; I don’t need it. I do it because it fulfills me and brings me so much joy to be someone who has the chance and blessing to learn from them. Even though I don’t have kids of my own, my greatest wish is to treat them as if they were mine. I want to be that supportive and loving figure in their lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I've never had the chance to care for children with special needs, but I'm really eager to learn and grow in this area. I'm a self-taught person and always looking for new ways to gain knowledge. I consider myself to be educated, with a lot of love and patience—qualities I believe are essential for providing the support these kids deserve. I'm ready to train and take on this challenge, hoping to make a difference in their lives.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny is when the kids learn to do something on their own. I love seeing their surprised faces and the expressions of gratitude they have. I've received many thank-you letters from them, filled with cutouts, drawings, and so much love. These little gestures are my greatest treasure and fill me with joy, reminding me of how impactful the learning process can be in their lives, especially when it’s infused with love and attention. Being present and supportive makes all the difference, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see them thrive.
