In high school, I did a lot of babysitting for my parents friends on the weekends/after school. Also being the oldest of six kinds made me a second mom. So I gained a lot of experience that way as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Outdoor activities I enjoy with my own toddler are walks, park days, mud kitchens, and outdoor crafts such as painting, collecting leafs, making flower crowns, etc.
As far as indoor activities: age appropriate crafts, coloring, practicing writing letters, holiday themed crafts, playing with toys and reading. I also find that kids don’t always need to be doing something. Just engaging them in age appropriate conversation is great for their minds.
