Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Over 100 hours in placements ranging from 6 week olds up to 6th grade, as well as student taught in 4th/5th grade and Kindergarten. I was a teacher’s aide for preschoolers with different abilities, and have been a part-time nanny for the past four years to two sisters who are now thirteen and eleven years old.

Movement games and dancing, “messy”activities such as hand painting, sand and water play, playground fun, trying new foods (especially with picky eaters), and also trail and park walks.
My experience with special needs children...
In addition to interacting and caring for students with various special needs during many of my placements, I also spent almost a year as a teacher’s aid, working very closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists and physical therapists who provided services for each of my preschoolers.

My most memorable period as a nanny has been watching the girls grow from young, partially independent children into very determined, self-sufficient, and confident young women.
