A little bit about me

-I’m Mariyah, I’m 14 and I love working with kids. It could be hectic and tiring but I’m dedicated and I devote my determination and patience into caring for anyones child. I know it’s hard to trust someone so young with your child, but I believe in myself that I can get it done.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve volunteered at nursery’s on teaching and caring for kids and babies. I’ve also cared for children ,no charge, with parents around my neighborhood. I also work with the kids at my school on behavior, and curricular and also motor skills as well. I believe in the safety of the children but also the health not only physically but also mentally.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going outside: Kiddie Pools , Water Ballon Fights, Riding Bikes, Random Running around in the yard, Gardening
Inside Activities: Drawing or Coloring, Any Kid Friendly Video Games, Cooking (safely), Watching Movies, Indoor games (hide and seek etc.) Tutoring if needed (no extra charge)
Cleaning with the Kids: Teaching how to clean after theirselves , cleaning up messes , cleaning room, sweeping, putting things in the trash, putting things in the sink (Preferably for kids about to enter the double digits 6-9)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is having patience and being dedicated to being there for the kids and also not giving up or showing disrespect, disapproval or make them feel like you’re not 100% committed to making them feel safe.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was caring for my friends aunts kids and one of them was scared by something and he ran in my arms and I calmed him down. Also when his sister was crying and she came to me to help her. It felt really good to see that they trusted me with themselves and that they felt that they could come to me for anything. I thrive for something like that from every child I encounter.
