A little bit about me

Starting from the summer to present my 12th grade year I have been working at P.S/I.S. 178 in Hollis, NY. Commonpoint Queens is an afterschool program. I. I help the kids with their homework, interact with them, teach them social skills and it’s so much fun. This job has taught me how to be patient and responsible in so many different ways. It teaches me how to be a mentor and be a role model . Working with kids just makes want to better myself everyday. To show and encourage them that if I can make through High School with good grades, playing sports and have a job they can as well.
I am a young African American female with a 3.5 GPA, hard working and dedicated student. I want to continue to strive and do my best in college. I am very determined to go to college and graduate with a nursing degree. I am not perfect but I strive for excellence and once I set myself on a goal, I will stop at nothing to achieve it.
