Hi my name is Mars and I am currently looking for a family in need of a nanny! With no professional experience to showcase, I would often volunteer after high school to watch over children from the local grade school before pick up. Additional, I have been a Court Appointed Child Supervisor for Cook County and have a large family myself; throughout my teenage years, I would babysit my cousins. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love finger-painting and coloring. I also enjoy being outside in nature myself, so outside time would be a requirement. Whether it be soccer, or swimming, or playing hide and seek.

Additionally, I like baking and would encourage the children to help me if they wanted to -- either meal prepping for myself, the family, or the children themselves. I believe all basic everyday tasks can be made fun, especially with the right attitude. As long as you have some whimsy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the one thing that matters the most, is that the child is safe, feels heard and understood, and free to express themselves. I love being able to watch a child engage in an activity that brings them such joy -- whether it be painting or making music, etc. I pride myself of being a safe space for my own friends, and would love to extend that courtesy to others, especially little humans with limited vocabulary. While not a whole lot might be said, if you pay close enough attention to the words, you can find the true soul of the child in front of you. To watch them grow up is a pleasure, and to make it an enjoyable experience is irreplaceable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love whenever a child will point out something -- usually something about myself -- and then, with absolutely no filter, they will say the first thing that comes to mind. Genuinely one of my favorite experiences, they don't possess the grown anxiety that we all have.
