More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 4 years of childcare experience, including 2 years of full-time nannying. Most recently, I cared for a child from 1.5 months old through 2.5 years, giving me strong experience with infants and toddlers. I also worked at an elementary school providing after-school care for two years and have babysat for various families over the past several years. This past summer, I was a camp counselor at Pine Cove in Texas, where I cared for and led groups of children in a fun, structured environment. I am comfortable with children of all ages and confident in handling routines, meals, playtime, and daily care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside! I love to take children playground hopping! (If the parents feel comfortable) We typically hit four or five playgrounds around town. It’s always a hit with the kids!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a super fun but structured environment! I love having a good, fun relationship with my kids while holding up their adult(s) rules.

My experience with special needs children...

While in school I volunteered at a peer partner. I absolutely loved developing friendships and learning more about my fellow peers who just so happened to have special needs. Many of these friends I still see today!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I stayed overnight with the child I was nannying while his parents went to the hospital to welcome their second baby. I was able to keep things calm and normal for him during such a big transition, and the next day I got to bring him to the hospital to meet his new baby brother for the first time. Being trusted with such an important moment meant so much to me, and it was incredibly special to be a part of something so intimate for their family. Moments like that are why I love what I do.
