A little bit about me

Hi, my name is MC! As a follower of Jesus, I seek to reflect His heart in everything I do, exercising compassion, encouraging kindness, and implementing a holistic approach to childcare.

As a university graduate with a degree in music, I naturally enjoy sharing that interest with the kids I serve. I also love spending time outdoors and will never hesitate to encourage the kids to do the same.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A sweet 3-year-old once had an accident while trying to use the bathroom independently. She never called for help and tried to clean up by herself, but after a few minutes of waiting for her to return to the playroom I went to check on her and saw what happened. She was immediately apologetic, and I told her, "It's okay! Accidents happen." We finished cleaning up and got her some fresh clothes. The rest of the morning, she continuously apologized for the incident. We were sitting at the lunch table when she says again, "Sorry. Sorry I had an accident." I stood up, wrapped my arms around her in a big hug, and said, "It's okay, you don't have to keep apologizing. You're a good kid." She suddenly had the biggest smile on her face, one that will forever be engrained in my memory as a reminder of how rewarding grace is --both giving and receiving it.
