I believe it is a responsibility that should be taken seriously. A great nanny doesn't need to be told what to do. She sees what needs to be done and is proactive. Communication is key.

Down syndrome is in our family. My nephew is 27, and I have had him on many occasions for the weekend or several days as his father travels for his job. I also have worked with autistic children, and I have had training for DID children. White Pine Charter School and Hope Lutheran Church have both had the privilege of my time and talents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is seeing the happiness in a smile. I do not have grandchildren, so I enjoy others' kids, as my son will probably not have children.
