More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked in Early Childhood Education for almost two years, mostly with infants and toddlers. But before then I have had the coolest opportunities to be a volunteer English teacher for children ages 3-10 in Russia, Mexico, and Costa Rica. I also have brief experience working as a medical assistant (for an externship) in a pediatric and Instacare setting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging in any sort of outdoor exploration, and other activities that foster curiosity and learning! Such as parks, slash pads, museums, arts/crafts, etc....

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent relationship where a child feels emotionally secure and deeply seen. Beyond routines and responsibilities, it’s about showing up with patience, presence, and empathy, and being someone a child can trust, express themselves around, and grow with. When a child feels supported and understood, everything else, ie learning, play, confidence—naturally occurs from there!

My experience with special needs children...

My experience working with special needs is fairly limited, but I have a younger sibling who is on the spectrum and have had children with special needs on my volunteer semesters.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I've yet to work professionally as a nanny, but throughout my time as a teacher my favorite moments have always been when it becomes clear that there is an established level of love and trust and the kids begin to seek you out for comfort and see you as a safe space for them to express themselves.
