I am a current University of Iowa student looking for a summer nanny job. I have experience with babysitting over the years and I was also a lifeguard who taught swim lessons for 4 years. Although I am no longer certified in CPR and First Aid, I do remember all of the classes well. I would love to help out any family in need of someone to take their kids to events or just to entertain them during the summer. I am very pet friendly and also wouldn't mind helping you out with cleaning around the house while you're at work as well!

I like being outside and when I was a child I loved to play games and be outside. Whether it's playing at the park, going to the pool, or just hanging out around the house I will always find something fun to do inside and outside to keep the kids active.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I want parents to feel comfortable leaving their children with someone they hardly know. I want to have a good connection with the parents over-time and gain their trust so they have no doubts when saying goodbye to their kids in the morning. I think trust and respect is the biggest thing, but also how well the kids feeling heard by me as well is very important.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I helped one of my kids learn to swim and hold her breath without plugging her nose. She was so excited and could not wait to tell her parents. When she told her parents she insisted they take me out for ice cream to say thank you!
