A little bit about me

I am a warm and fun childcare professional with an extensive background in working with children. While completing my undergrad in California, I worked as a nanny for two years, caring for three children ranging from four months to five years old. I also spent three years as a Hebrew school teacher and seven years as an assistant art teacher at a summer arts program.
I earned my Associates in Child Development in 2019, and my BA in Anthropology in 2024, and now work full-time at Purdue. My strong background in education and childcare have equipped me with skills in conflict resolution, leading group activities, and arts and crafting with all ages. I’m experienced in caring for children with special needs and neurodivergent children, and always strive to be safe, inclusive, and adaptive to all children.
I am also happy to help with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and pet care. I look forward to creating a supportive, creative, and fun experience for your little one!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to my Hebrew school and art camp teaching experience, I worked for two years as a nanny for two wonderful families, caring for their three children ranging from 4 months to 5 years old. The first family I was with for two years, and the second family for almost a year prior to the pandemic. I watched both family's children together in a group setting, and facilitated daily care, preschool pick-up/drop-off, and group outings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have a strong arts background, and an extensive repertoire of developmentally appropriate arts and crafts for all ages. I enjoy cooking and the outdoors, and cherish watching children interact with the natural world.

Loving, bonding, and caring for the children and family you are with. It is important to support healthy development in all aspects and surround children with love, empathy, and willingness to see the world from their perspective. I am honored when I get to watch the magnificent developmental journey that children undertake as they grow, and support it by being a fun and caring part of their journey!

My experience with special needs children...

I spent about 6 months doing in home care for adults with disabilities in a professional home care setting, and have worked with children of all abilities in academic settings as an assistant art teacher and teaching Hebrew school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the three year old I had been nannying for two years FaceTimed me (during the early days of the pandemic) to tell me he missed me. He wanted to play with his truck, and couldn't understand how to push it through the phone screen so I could play too!
