More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with rehabilitating. As a nurses aide I care for kids with cancer, empathized and loved was my priorities. I also worked with autistic and down syndrome kids, experiencing their smart thoughts but also delay issues.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy activities like educational games, because, these games allow kids to practice and develop physical skills such as hand-eye coordination. They can also work on spatial skills and fine motor skills.. I also like small groups interactions, where I can take them to the library, park or any kids entertainment of parent choice.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Bounding with them. Loving and caring for my little ones.
My experience with special needs children...
Autism and Down Syndrome
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is the first time I am introduced to the kid or kids. The eye connection and hugs is so real, because kids do not pretend; they're real.

Hi! I’m Vanessa. Working and caring for children has always been my passion. My best qualities as a nanny include: Patient, Communicative, Caring, Observant, Creative and Open minded.
I love nature! I enjoy hiking, games, spending time with the people I love and exploring.
Some of my favorite things to do with the kids are crafts, reading, singing/dancing, pretend play, baking, anything outdoors such as sports or going for a walk, and sensory activities. Id say I lean towards the Montessori methods but of course every family is different and I am willing to do what you prefer!
Ive been working with children *professionally* for about 4 years now. It’s important to me to develop a relationship with the child and not just be the nanny but a friend and someone they can confide in. I am COVID cautious and have been fully vaccinated.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Raleigh, NC: Katherine W.
About my family: I have a 3 month old named Elizabeth. My partner is a retired MLB player & is currently an artist/designer. My dog, Gunner, is 7 years old & well behaved. My degree is in psychology with a focus in child development from High Point University. Since graduating, I have worked in sales for marketing and software companies. I have experience as a nanny & also have worked with children with autism. I have always had a passion for working with children & am eager to begin my life as a care taker for children. I would provide your child(ren) with care along with my 3 month old daughter. I have a Scandinavian style of care taking: I place emphasis on outdoor exploring, independent play, and gentle discipline to develop confidence & brain stimulation without compromising safety. My discipline style isn’t through punishment, it’s about positive reinforcement. Outdoor & creative play are key to keeping a child stimulated.
