Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at In His Hands Childcare Development Daycare in Canyon Texas. When I was 13 I started babysitting in my Home town for teachers after school as well as in the summertime. Also starting at that age I began working at a church camp in Laverne Oklahoma as a camp counselor. This camp is near and dear to my heart, because I have been attending this camp since I was 7 years old. I also worked for Optimal Physical Therapy in Amarillo and would help the Therapist in anyway they needed with adults as well as children when they would come in.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I played basketball, softball, tennis, ran track, cross country and threw shot and discus in high school. In saying that, I love sports and would love to be active in any sports your child or children participate in. I have always enjoyed crafts of any kind and will color for days. Baking is something else that I enjoy and have often done that with the children I baby sit in the summer. Although I am not very good, if video games is something your kids enjoy, I would do that to my best ability. I believe that children should spend time outside and enjoy riding bikes, as well as taking walks. I am always down to do anything fun, shopping, golfing, riding roller coasters, walking the dogs, going to sports games and anything else that your kids might be involved in during the school year.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure that the parents as well as the kids know that they are safe. I also want each child to know that they are seen and loved greatly. I want them to be comfortable and know that I will do what I can to help them to find their passion.
