A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Megan. I am relocating from Minnesota to California. I have extensive experience in working with all ages (0-18). Prior to graduating from college, I spent years as a nanny and babysitter for various families. After graduating from college, I started working full time as a Juvenile Probation Officer. On my days off, I was a substitute teacher and paraprofessional for all grades K-12. My full time position eventually began to include supervision of adults as well, although my primary caseload consisted of youthful offenders. I have coached multiple sports at the elementary, middle school, and high school level. I also have experience working as a summer camp counselor and leading small groups of children through a week at overnight camp. A few years ago, I decided to leave the world of Probation and put all my working hours into substitute teaching/para at the elementary level. I have worked both mainstream classrooms as well as special education.
