Hearing the child’s wants and needs!! Being a nanny is all about making the kids day light up when they see you, kids easily look up to people they see on a daily basis. Keeping a positive attitude, and cheerful energy is what makes a nanny a nanny!! My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with High functioning special needs children while working as a swim instructor. However, with my degree I will be getting certified in Special Education as well. So as the months progress I get to learn more about Special Needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I taught one of the kids how to swim! He was extremely stubborn in the water but after a few tries we got him to float, jump in voluntarily, and even swim to the wall and swim to me !
