Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and their families in a variety of settings. My background includes working as a pre-K teacher, a case manager supporting children and families, and in the Emergency Department at Hasbro Children’s Hospital/Rhode Island Hospital and the Rhode Island Children’s Advocacy Center. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and have completed graduate-level coursework in both Elementary Education and Clinical Social Work. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in child development, family support, and meeting the diverse needs of children.

The activities I plan with your child will be tailored to their age, developmental stage, and individual needs. I enjoy engaging children through reading, outdoor play and trips to the park or library, helping with homework, and supporting their daily routines and activities of daily living. My goal is to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where each child feels supported and encouraged to learn and grow while being cared for!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. Building trust with both the children and their families is essential, as is being patient, attentive, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. I also believe in fostering children’s growth, independence, and development through meaningful activities, consistency, and positive encouragement while maintaining open communication with parents.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with a wide range of developmental and cognitive abilities. I believe in taking an individualized approach with each child, recognizing their unique strengths, needs, and abilities. I am open to working with children of all backgrounds and abilities and value collaborating with families to understand their expectations and provide the most appropriate, compassionate, and supportive care as a nanny!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My CPR certification recently expired, and I am in the process of obtaining recertification. In the meantime, it may be helpful to note I have previous training and work experience as a CNA, and also training as an EMT although I never pursued it, providing me with a strong foundation in emergency response and safety.
