A little bit about me

I am currently a swim instructor at Goldfish Swim School. I have experience on deck (pulling kids aside and offering some extra help), in the water, and as a lifeguard. I love music and anything to do with the outdoors and obviously working with kids ! I am currently enrolled in school, but I'm ahead and have the freedom to work full days if needed every once in awhile. I am in the process of partaking in an advanced child care course to improve my skills when watching your kids :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a swim instructor at Goldfish Swim School. I work with kids as young as 6 months ranging up to about 12 years old. I have been working there over a year and have had lots of experience with kids outside of the workplace + I am CPR, first aid, BLS, and AED certified. I love working with kids, creating bonds with them, and watching them grow into their personalities

I enjoy arts and crafts and being outside in nice weather.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is the impact you can make on the kids. Not only are you there to watch them while mom and dad are gone, but you're also there to create memories and bonds that they're never going to get with anyone else.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a family member who is diagnosed with autism. Growing up I learned how to set boundaries and work with those who have special needs. I was also a peer tutor my freshman year. I worked with special needs kids my age by helping them with school work, keeping them on task, helping them clean, and keeping them company. I’ve also had some experience with special needs at the swim school. While working on deck, it’s my job to pull them aside if needed to help them feel comfortable or just to offer them the extra help they might need

The most important part about being a nanny...

While using the restroom, one of the kids I was nannying decided she wanted to talk through the door
“did you hear about the spaghetti that died” she asked
“no?”
