Building a good relationship with both the kids and their parents is key, too, so everyone feels comfortable and on the same page. I want to be someone they can trust and rely on, whether it's keeping a routine or being flexible when needed.

My favorite nanny moment has definitely been being involved in the children’s lives beyond just my scheduled hours. When I was an au pair, it wasn’t just about being with them during work time—it was about building a real bond. I’ve loved being there for things like school plays, the first day of preschool, or even meeting their teachers. It’s such a special feeling to be part of those milestones and to show the kids that I’m there to support them, even if it’s not on my schedule. It really helps strengthen the connection we have and makes my role feel even more meaningful.
