A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Melissa. I grew up in a military family and community. My mother actively worked in the education system and I took every chance to work in her Special Education classrooms. I've always had an affinity for working with children and knew it was my calling at a young age. I was the neighborhood babysitter for our military community when I was living overseas.

Before moving to Auburn I volunteered and work closely with Akron Children's Dance Unlimited, a special needs dance group, as a one-on-one mentor and aide for a medically complex child

I moved to Auburn in 2021 where I began my journey towards a Human Development and Family Sciences Degree with a concentration in Child Life. Since living in Auburn I've worked at the Early Learning Center, Big Blue Marble Academy, and Auburns Best After-school and Summer program. I've also had the best opportunity to serve as a nanny for a two child family.
