A little bit about me

I am always kind, I love kids, I have 4 nephews and nieces who adore me and I love to come up with arts and crafts and interactive games. I want to do something I like, and love being around children and seeing them learn, I want to help out as much I can, including homework, I sadly don't have a licence but plan to try for one this coming year, I've mostly not been able to get to a nanny position for a while, but I want to do that rather than dealing with rude people. i love learning new things, I've never had any incidences where a child got hurt while I was watching them, besides the usual child bumping their head, but i am always good at distracting them from any pain from it and they always bounce back. I want to be able to help people, I am kind and compassionate, and will be trying for a CPR and first aid certification. Because parents should know their child or children are in capable hands, I don't speak Spanish but am learning.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

when I turned 14 or 15 I would baby sit for a lot of different families, learned good things each time, and and in middle school there were times where we would walk to the elementary school and help one kid with an art project or writing , some were special needs, and it was amazing to see watch these kids learn and grow. also did a seminary class (essentially like church learning) where we would interactively learn different teachings in the church, in charge of a single kid, who had special needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It depends on what's available, if there are parks nearby, and if not bubbles, board games,rules or not, i love painting or play-doh. chasing and running away. just depends on the kids interests too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting to know the kids and parents, understanding all standards in someone else's house. Knowing if one kid needed more alone time and one wanted to bounce around, and understanding to adapt to what the family needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I myself have not but my sister has and if I can help I am willing to learn and care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

With the kids I nannied for I made their lunches and they'd always get so excited, especially if their mom allowed me to give treats for good eating. and watching my nieces and nephews, frisbee, but i wasn't good at it but they would always laugh because I couldn't throw as far or catch as well as they could, so they felt much more powerful. and dance parties, even to Disney music, so fun!
