Every time I nanny or babysit, I make sure to tidy up during and after any activities, and make sure to leave the house better than I found it. It is so important to me that kids have fun while I’m with them! This includes pillow fights, playing pretend, building forts, scavenger hunts, baking treats, and making crafts. Alongside all the fun we have, I do set aside time for homework, meals and snacks, nap time, potty breaks, washing dirty hands and faces, etc. I’ve found that keeping kids occupied with non-electronic activities is always the way to go, but watching a movie or T.V. show may happen from time to time.
