I currently work for Treasure Tree Academy as a Head Teacher to three classes with children ages 3-5. I prepare developmentally appropriate activities and teach social and emotional skills with my assistant teacher.
On top of this experience, I also have more than 24 hours experience babysitting infants ages 2 months-2 year and many hours experience with children ages 3-10.

I love taking kids to parks, feeding them snacks, playing tickle monster, and teaching them dances! I like playing movement games like musical chairs, or imaginary games like "restaurant", but most of all I love reading stories to kids!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most important things about being a nanny is helping children to feel safe and loved. It is in an environment such as this that children can feel inspired to learn from their surroundings, feel confident to experiment with new knowledge, and show a willingness to progress!
It is also important for nanny's to teach social and emotional skills in a natural way, helping kids to pick up on principles that will make their lives easier and more successful in the long run.
Finally, nanny's should help kids have fun and do good things with their time! Children of course are free to choose and a nanny cannot MAKE them experience or learn anything, but providing opportunities is obtainable!

My experience with special needs children...
I have more than 10 hours of practical training experience in elementary schools with children diagnosed with mild/moderate and severe special needs. I also completed an Introduction to Special Education course and a Language Arts Instruction: Disabilities course at BYU while I was temporarily in the Special Education major.
I addition, I have a cousin with special needs who I love so much! I have spent time with her and have learned so much from her!
