She is also someone who doesn’t need to be told to do something, if she saw something needed to be done .. she’d do it no questions asked. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

At my church , I am a counselor for our Pathfinder Club. In the club we help students with relevant course work. Included in the coursework are honor patches that students have to earn by actually learning to the do the skill .. honor patches included but not limited to .. baking , camping skills , knots , swimming , cooking etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park , reading , playing games , going to the movies , helping with homework.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is really getting to know the children you are caring for and caring for them in that capacity. Children are so innocent, they just need love , affection and someone to believe in them , always. It is such a rewarding feeling when I can help parents accomplish their goals with their children.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a Greek family who had 2 children, the oldest of which was disabled. He wasn’t able to move one side of his body , he had a feeding tube , and speech issues. I responsible for helping him out of his wheelchair , helping him up the stairs , feeding him , changing his diaper and keeping his area clean at all times.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most memorable moments was with the special needs child I cared for. He had speech issues so he only knew a few words. When I started working there I told him my name and reminded him of it everyday. I would hear him call his brother name and then follow up with “I love you”. One day after getting him in the house , he gave me a hug and said “sheika , I love you”. He learned my name and showed me much gratitude , it made me so happy.
