More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children in a variety of settings. I previously served in my home church’s nursery, and I also worked as an Activities Leader at Word of Life Bible Institute during their summer camps, where I cared for and supervised children. Additionally, I have cared for younger family members, as most of my cousins are 12–19 years younger than me, as well as the children of friends. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with children of different ages and personalities in both structured and informal settings.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel cared for, respected, and comfortable being themselves. A nanny is not only responsible for keeping children safe, but also for being patient, dependable, attentive, and encouraging as they learn and grow.
It’s also important to understand that every child is different. A good nanny takes the time to learn each child’s personality, needs, interests, and routines, while providing consistent guidance and positive encouragement. Ultimately, it’s about building a relationship where the child knows they are valued, supported, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...
My experience caring for children with special needs has primarily been through occasionally caring for my younger cousin and living with/caring for one of my younger sisters, both of whom have autism. These experiences have helped me develop patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt to their individual needs and personalities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is when I go to one of my friends’ houses to help care for her three children—one 4-year-old and two 6-year-olds. As soon as I pull up, they come running out of the house to my car, excitedly yelling, “Mickey!”. Throughout the day, they’ll often tell me, “Mickey! I love you.” which absolutely melts my heart every time. Moments like these are so special to me because they remind me how meaningful it is to build a loving and trusting relationship with the children I care for.
