Hi, I'm Michelle, a passionate childcare provider with 35+ years of experience raising children. As a grandmother of 8 and mother of 6, I have transitioned to become a part-time nanny for two wonderful families. My priority is to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for children while following the parents' preferences for their child's upbringing. I believe in engaging children in various developmental activities to foster their growth and development. Additionally, I encourage children to express their feelings respectfully to prioritize their emotional well-being. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have spent my life raising children from my brothers, to my children. I've also done some work at a daycare as a teacher.
I also worked as a court ordered supervisor for a family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Swimming, Walking, bike rides, reading. Zoo outing. Museum outings, bowling, art projects , parks, ect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part for me is not only being a nuturing, loving,
and safe support for the child . But to be that for the parents.
I love my job. I love my families.
As a mother and grandmother I know what I needed as a parent. I needed to be supported and encouraged. I'm not just caring for the kids but the family as a whole.
Caring and supporting the family is a must. I do this with my grandkids and kids. I also believe in having a positive, happy and encouraging additude. In my own life and with my family I make sure we focus on positive things that we saw, heard, or did. First question talking to my grandkids is tell me something good that happened today?

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for a 6 year old who is autistic.
The baby girl I nannied for a year was also hearing impaired.
We also have an Autistic son.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The little boy I was nannying for was learning how to walk and he was afraid of the fall. So one day I brought in a bean bag and so when he fell it was a soft landing. After doing this for awhile. Lol (He got a kick out of this)
His dad walked in and I got on video him walking to his dad. ♡
I love the look of accomplishment when they do something for the first time.
The baby girl I'm currently carrying for signed dog for the first time and I actually got that on video for her parents. She was 8mo old.
