A little bit about me

Hi there! I’m a mom to a 20-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son. I taught First Grade for 20 years and have degrees in Early Childhood Education and Reading.

Although I’m no longer in education, I really miss working with kids! My children’s younger years were some of my favorites, and I’d love the opportunity to care for little ones again.

As a mom and former teacher, I understand that every family has their own routines and way of doing things, and I respect that. I learned this from my own mom. When she cared for my kids, she followed our wishes rather than simply doing things the way she had when raising us. That always stuck with me, and it’s the same respect I would bring into your home.

I’m also a big animal lover! I have two 6-year-old cats who are brothers, Henry + Ford, and had my Weimaraner, Zoey, for 14 wonderful years. I also pet sit and dog walk, so I’m very comfortable with family pets.
