The most important part of being a nanny is being present. The child or baby you’re caring for is still growing, developing, and learning new skills. It’s essential to actively watch and listen to them during your time together. Children are very special and require a lot of care, so being attentive and present is vital. Additionally, it’s important to engage in activities with the child and listen to their needs!!
My experience with special needs children...
I currently have 11 years of experience with children that have special needs. My little sister has cerebral palsy and brain damage, and my stepmom runs a group home for younger adults with special needs; that I have volunteered at! I have also worked with special needs children at my part time mental health technician job!
