Hello, my name is Mikaela Ghani. I am an early childhood education professional with over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, and communities. Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles including classroom teacher, program coordinator, mentor, and childcare provider. I bring a strong background in curriculum development, behavior support, and building meaningful partnerships with parents. Outside of my work with children, I enjoying hands-on DIY and craft projects, watching my son’s baseball games and is currently studying to become a licensed massage therapist. I am is a proud mother to a middle school-aged son and shares my home with my energetic Yorkie, Ezekiel.

The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and their family. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing environment where the child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. Being consistent, patient, and responsive allows me to support each child’s development while also partnering with parents to ensure their values and routines are honored.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child I had been working with for several months, who was initially very shy and reserved, finally opened up and invited me into their imaginary play world. We spent the afternoon pretending to run a bakery, complete with handwritten menus and pretend pastries. Seeing their confidence grow and being trusted to share in that joy was a beautiful reminder of the impact consistent, nurturing care can have on a child’s sense of safety and imagination.
