Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love drawing and doing arts and crafts, I love singing to music and reading and would do that with the children every day. On days when the weather is nice I'd take them (with the parent's consent) to parks, splash pads, walks in the neighborhood and when they're old enough taking them to things like the Rec Center Pool, Sports Practices, going out to get a treat if they behaved that week, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
First and foremost the child's health, safety, and showing them they are loved and cared for. The other most important part is communication between parent and caregiver, I think it's important for the parents to know what their child did that day, what they've been learning, and what can be improved to help the child succeed and have fond memories to look back on in the future.
My experience with special needs children...
Currently in my Infant Room at work one of our babies is special needs, she really is just like all of our other babies in the classroom she's just a little developmentally delayed because of her disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Genuinely one of my favorite parts of my job is the report at the end of the day telling the parents anything silly that happened with their baby, showing photos and videos of them, and getting to talk to the parents about their baby and just seeing their face light up from it.
