Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a caretaker for 2 years. I took care of a baby boy from infancy till he was 2. My responsibilities changed and increased as he got older. Initially I was just responsible for washing his clothes and watching him when his mum slept, he was strictly breastfed, until 4 months when he started formula and his mum also started working night shift, so I was responsible for feeding, washing bottles, changing diapers, and watching him through the night. This continues till he turned 2, he started daycare and I was only working part time. I prepared him for daycare, dropped him off and picked him up.

Indoor activities include: playing with toys together, singing and dancing together, coloring in books together.
Outdoor activities include: going for walks, going to the pool, and playing at the park.

Being able to acquire the skill of patience, because at the end of the day you are working with a child that is still growing, so unlike adults the don’t think when they act, they just do. So being patient will help you a lot.

I was home alone with the baby that I was babysitting, he was 11 months. We were hanging in the living room together and I was playing music from the tv ( his mom permitted me) and all of a sudden he just stood up and started walking. This was the first time he had ever walked and I not only got to witness it but also record it. I was so happy I almost cried. Being able to witness and share such big milestones in his life always made me happy
