I think the most important thing about begin a nanny is begin nurturing and reassuring, letting the child know that I am here to not only help them learn something new but also to become better and for them to feel safe to know social skills with someone who is not there immediate family.

The most important part about being a nanny...
With my last Babysitting position, the child was just about 14 months old at the time and she loves talking. We were on the transition of her taking her nap on her on bed on her know, and we had established that when it's nap time she will lay down on her bed and I will sit next to her and read a couple of short books, and the first couple of times she will be on her bed looking at me and trying to convince me not to have nap time, we will have a full conversation fro about 10 minutes of she telling me what we can be doing together instead of taking the nap, and I remember I will laugh when she will fall asleep and we will talk about it when she woke up, this is one of many memories that bring a smile to my face cause I can see how also she was learning in that moment itslef.
