Activities I enjoy doing with children...

i’m really adventurous and energetic so it’s usually not too hard to keep the kids entertained! I’ve played a lot of different sports and explored a lot of interests of my own growing up so me and your kids probably already have some in common! but stuff like swimming, painting, hiking, and baking are always fun too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I always first want to respect parents boundaries and let them teach me how their family functions. I think it’s also really important to listen to the kids needs, especially since that’s who I would be spending most of my time with. Overall it’s supposed to fun for the kids and I think as long as their is respect and communication everyone can feel heard and comfortable!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked directly with children who have autism and are non verbal. My experience nannying for those kids was great! However I may not know your children’s needs as well as you, so if you are willing to teach me as we go I would be totally comfortable working with children who have different needs or disabilities as well. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh I have lots, everyday is fun! But my first live in nanny job was in Spain and I didn’t speak any spanish and everything was brand new! I nannied for two girls that summer and my favorite memories are of my first week there. Because the girls and their parents could talk to me in English but, when we went out I didn’t understand a lot of what was being said and I didn’t know where anything was. So it was cool too see everyday all of us learning and remembering more about each other and I was really treated like the big sister of the family. We spent the whole summer at the pool, practicing gymnastics, and making elaborate crafting projects! We all had the best time and our summer flew by. We all left in tears when I had to go home, but I still consider them family!
