More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m a big sister to two younger brothers, and looking after them is the bulk of my experience. I know how to treat babies, toddlers, kids and preteens, and how to keep them entertained and happy. I think kids are pretty nifty!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, puzzles, hide and seek, educational games, going for walks, swimming (I’m very attentive!), playing pretend, making meals/snacks together and keeping them altogether busy and stimulated in whatever other ways you would like!

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s important to put the safety and well-being of the children in your care as first priority. Take care of their immediate needs as they arise and keep them happy and entertained. Being a good natured person is paramount and helps the nanny, kids and the rest of the family stay relaxed and satisfied.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve been a teachers helper for a fully nonfunctional disabled boy in elementary school for my music class. But I’m not confident to what level, if any, of care I could give to a child with specific special needs at this point in my life. But only because it’s been so long and I’m not very knowledgeable about special needs. I’m open to learning what a child needs and trying my best to fulfill the need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I lived in Portland, Oregon, I nannied a 3 year old girl in the afternoons while her father worked. She was so precious and precocious! That summer we would walk to the nearest park every day or so and I would put her in a swing and push her for a couple hours until she needed a nap! Her little giggles made every day.
