A little bit about me

I have worked in the nursery at my church for several years, caring for children aged newborn to middle school. I have also worked as a date-night babysitter since I was 13, a mother's helper before that, and a nanny more recently. The family I nannied for last summer had a two year old and a newborn, born in June, whom I cared for. I currently am a part-time nanny for two boys, aged 22 months and 7 weeks. Through the Red Cross, I have infant through adult CPR training, first aid training, and babysitter training. I feel comfortable caring for up to five children at a time myself. I have experience caring for children with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, severe allergies, and twins/triplets. I am comfortable caring for up to five children at a time by myself. What I love most about nannying is having the opportunity to impact children's lives and help to mold them to be the best versions of themselves they can be. I love getting to have an ongoing relationship with the children I care for, because that develops a deeper, more trusting bond between the child and I, with mutual respect. I am semi-fluent in American Sign Language and have experience working with families with deaf parents/children who sign in addition to speaking.
