More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

With almost a decade of childcare experience under my belt, I've worked a plethora of positions! In child care centers and programs I've been everything from a floater, to a lead teacher, to the director of the program. I've worked in the Jefferson County public school system as an instructional assistant. I have worked as a behavioral health technician in a therapist program for children. Most recently I have done private nanning freelance, and under my own business name.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun and enriching activities both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, I love doing arts and crafts, reading stories, baking simple treats, playing games, and encouraging creativity through music and imaginative play. Outdoors, I enjoy exploring nature, organizing games and sports, doing sidewalk chalk art, and planning fun activities like scavenger hunts or water play. I aim to create a balance of learning, creativity, and physical activity in everything we do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me as a nanny is making a meaningful, lasting impact on the children in my care. I strive to be a steady, positive presence in their lives someone who makes them feel seen, supported, and loved. Their laughter, growth, and sense of safety mean everything to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for children with a wide range of special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, children with Asperger’s, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, physical disabilities, and those who are immobile. Each experience has deepened my understanding and strengthened my commitment to providing patient, personalized, and loving care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my kids was having a tough day and hit a full on meltdown. I sat with her quietly, giving her space but staying close. After a long stretch of sitting together in silence, she finally looked up at me with wide eyes and said, “My legs feel like the static on the TV.” Turns out, it was the first time she had experienced her legs falling asleep, and she had no idea what was happening. We both ended up laughing, and it was such a beautiful reminder of how even the littlest things can feel huge when you’re a kid navigating the world for the first time.
