A little bit about me

My name is Monica and I am 31 years old. As the oldest of my siblings' caregiving has always been a part of my life. I have been working as a Nanny full-time for the past 3 years. I love taking care of children because it is always a new world with them. Teaching them and watching them create their own little personalities is one of the best experiences. I am patient, and energetic and enjoy spending my time reading books. I am an introvert but I do love being outdoors and taking the kids on fun adventures whether it be to the park or on a play date with other children.

I am able to prepare all meals, do some light housekeeping, and put away the child’s laundry. I have mostly worked with toddlers but I am open to working with kids of all ages.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have cared for 2 children over the last 4 years. One child I watched from when he was a newborn until he was 4 years old. I still watch him from time to time but they moved so I only go every so often now. The other child I take care of was 1 year old when I started watching them and it has been about a year now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor/outdoor activities are both fun as long as the child is happy and occupied.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Knowing that every child is different in their own way and you have to adapt to each child accordingly. Take your time to get to know the child and his parents as well.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any experience with special needs children but I am willing to learn and adapt.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I stopped watching my kid full-time in January. Now I just watch him from time to time if his parents need me but every time I see him he gets so excited and it makes me feel excited as well that he enjoys our time together as much as I do.
