Hi, My name is Monica. I’m 23 years old. I’ve been taking care of kids for as long as I can remember even now I do work with in the school district as a ECE Additional Support Paraprofessional. It’s one of my passions to work with children, it’s never dual moment with them. I do feel like I create strong connections with the kids, as I also know when to separate feelings when it comes to redirecting them. With what I’ve learn from my job, I do apply to watching kids. I think it’s great idea for them to have structure and key points such as communication skills, emotional and social skills, problem solving skills and so much more. It really helps the punter one’s to developed and helps the to ready for preschool. As well as with the older kids it a quick reminder that I feel does help. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I do work as a ECE Additional Support Paraprofessional with in the school District.
As well as I’ve been babysitting since I was 10 when I had my Red Cross certification

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities I enjoy doing with the children are, arts and crafts, building forts, playing dress up, role playing, watching movies, and story time. Some outdoor activities I enjoy doing with the children are playing with chalk, playing with water (such as running through sprinklers), playing sports, playing with outdoor equipment (such as jump rope, holla hoops and etc), helping them with their motor skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is really making sure the children feel comfortable and safe around you because if the children don’t feel comfortable and safe, they can become anxious and hard to interact with. You have to make them understand that you’re gonna be someone in their life that’s there to look after them and be there for them when they need you because that’s really what nannying is about. Being another person in the child’s life that’s there to protect them, nurture them, and care for them!

My experience with special needs children...

I do have an experience with special needs kids. As my niece is one snd have other experiences with in my job to help special needs kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I go to the house and see how excited the children are to see me, as they run up to me and hold me. Also knowing I’m nurturing them and helping them grown.
