A little bit about me

I’m a 36 year old mother of two amazing “big kids”. They are 19 and 16, I feel like being a mother has prepared me for a nanny role. I have a lot of experience and I feel that gives me somewhat of an edge. My house has always been full with my kids and their friends so I’m sort of feeling like I have an empty nest. I think it would be great to use my free time doing something I’m passionate about. I live in Parma, Ohio and I’m very family oriented. I enjoy camping(in a cabin)! Shopping, reading, watching movies, attending sporting events and traveling. I have an interest in home decorating, and as of late self help related things like improving myself so I can share my experiences. Maybe, become a life coach, not much of a public speaker but on a private level 1 on 1. Or some type of work helping children that are considered high risk. If I can help anyone going through a tough time, I’d really be happy.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Giant Eagle Nest- planned day to day activities for kids. The activities included playing educational games based on age group( on the computer/tablet, memory, word games). Color, paint or make crafts. I would supervise children while their parents shopped in the store. Had to obtain CPR, INFANT CPR and AED Certifications.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to bake cookies or cakes and let the children decorate. I like preparing for holidays with them and decorating the house. It really depends on the child, we can color, do homework or play educational games. When weather permitting it’s nice to go to the park and get fresh air, any activities that the kids are into I’d love to attend from basketball games -dance (any). I’m always up for a great time! It’s important that kids are active, brain is stimulating. Too much sitting around watching tv all day can eventually have a lot of negative behaviors. I still keep my personal beliefs out of my jobs and take the parents wishes very seriously. Some parents don’t want their children outside while they are away and I respect that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is SAFETY. I believe safety is more important than anything. I would never allow or accept something happening to a child on my watch. It’s important to me that I supervise, pay attention to my surroundings and work with the child to understand safety (why it’s important). Children/ kids are so curious and a lot of scenarios can happen, but I will do everything in my power to keep your child safe, just like I would as if they were my own children.
