In my opinion, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I think building strong relationships with both the children and parents is so important, along with being patient, dependable, and supportive through every stage of a child’s growth and development.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through both personal and volunteer experiences. I have helped care for my cousin with autism since he was an infant, which has taught me a lot about patience, understanding, communication, and creating a supportive environment. I also volunteered in my high school’s special needs classroom, where I assisted students with daily activities and learning. These experiences helped grow my passion for caring for children and taught me the importance of compassion and individualized support.
