Hi! My name is Morgan! I am a nanny and babysitter moving from Los Angeles to New York this fall! I have just recently concluded two years working as a teacher and Children's Theater Director at the Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts. Before my time as a teacher, I have taught dance across Long Island and Nannied for a three month old, and babysat for multiple families of four with children ages 2-6.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My most recent and relevant experience is working as a Children's Teacher and Theater Director at the Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts. I have also babysat for most of my life, long and short term.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coming up with fun crafts and games with the kids. My favorite game to play is either a scavenger hunt or an obstacle course, using that to motivate them to complete tasks or accomplishments while gamifying it. I also like to incorporate artistic activities allowing them to use their imagination and express it through different crafts and experiments. I am very artistic and passionate over my hobbies, so I love when I get to help students and children I nanny discover their passions and help encourage them to learn more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being apart of the family's village. As a nanny, teacher, or any one involved in a child's up bringing you have the immense responsibility and duty to help cultivate the life that is bringing up this human. You have such an incredible opportunity to be the best version of your self to help set an example for who that child will want to become. I think setting that example and showing up for them as that example day after day as a nanny is the most important part of the job.

My experience with special needs children...

Most of my special needs experience is with children on the spectrum specifically dealing with ADHD, high functioning Autism, and ADD at the Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts. I do have some experience interpreting for deaf students who didn't have an interpreter with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I get to help with milestone achievements. For my first nanny family I got to help celebrate the baby's 1ooth day! And got to help the family work towards him standing and crawling.
As a teacher my favorite memory is of my student's final performance of Mean Girls ending, the lights went out and they all started cheering and screaming jumping up and down and crying because they were so happy and so proud of them selves. They didn't want our class and our show to be over, and neither did I. I have never been more proud of a group of kiddos, they kept asking if we could keep doing it forever, it was very sweet.
