More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Other than caring for my many little cousins through the years, majority of my caregiving experience is with caring for others 4-legged babies!
I am excited and eager to work more with children, my heart splits wide open for little ones.
My compassionate and light-hearted nature mixed with the right amount of patience, gives me confidence that I can be a perfect fit to lend a helping hand with your busy yet perfect family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Every kid is unique and will have a completely different list of activities they find intriguing. I'm a stickler for new experiences and LOVE making summer bucket lists.
Whether we're trying new board games or playing soccer after picnic in the yard. Relaxing movie nights or long days at the pool. Trying a cookie recipe, making new artwork for the fridge, or simply laying in the grass and guessing the shapes in the clouds.
It ultimately depends on what YOUR child is interested in doing, but my main goal is busting their boredom and expanding their list of interests with a wide variety of frequent activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...
You have to have lots of compassion. These are tiny humans we're talking about! They are curious, spontaneous, intuitive, sensitive, and most importantly, still learning! They pick up on every word, mannerism, and emotion. Some days go great, some days not so much, but no matter how the day goes, Kids deserve consistency with love, respect, understanding as they learn to communicate and manage their feelings.
In my opinion, the key to well rounded kids is unconditional love, and the encouragement for self exploration and expression.

My experience with special needs children...
I did work for a year as a care provider in a group home for adults with mental disabilities, where I received my First aid and CPR certifications, as well as spruced up my housekeeping skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My fav moments caring for kids are usually the ones when you laugh, but you probably shouldn't. Kids really do say the darnedest things don't they? I was caring for my 4 cousins (11, 9, 6, and 1) The little 6 yr old girl is a spitfire! She loves to test limits, see just how much she can actually get away with. Not even a day at the park can wear her out! That's actually what we did this day. FroYo then 4 hours at the park, but as soon as we got home...instant boredom. She was begging me to watch a scary movie. Obviously, a scary movie is never a good idea right before bed. I told her exactly that and offered other options for boredom-busters. We went back and forth "negotiating" what we should do for a good 10 mins, and out of nowhere she blurts out, "You're busting my balls!" I was stunned, she had never said anything like that before, even her older sister looked shocked.
I couldn't help but crack up laughing bc I knew exactly which parent she learned that from! lmao
