When I taught swim lessons with smaller children, I had a little girl come in who was absolutely terrified of swimming. I worked with her for a couple weeks taking baby steps to get her comfortable with the water. After a few weeks of working on it, she was jumping in the water all by herself. I was so proud of her because she worked so hard. That’s my favorite moment because all she needed was a little patience and comfort, and she turned out to be my star student.
