Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a firefighter for 5 years, an EMT/paramedic for 9 years, and am currently a CNA. My goal is to pursue a career in nursing. I also come from a large family, so I have experience with children of most ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Education games, such as puzzles and Lego, have always been my go-to on a rainy day. Otherwise I like to encourage outdoor activities.

Is being positive and helpful role model in a child/children's life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have very little experience with special needs children, however as a firefighter/paramedic I did have to treat and transport some. However, I am a very fast learner and have little to no problem learning and adapting to new situations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not quite a nanny moment, but I had a do a clinical shift at a daycare with children ranging from 1-6 years old. When it was my turn to hang out with the 2 year olds, they were eating lunch. I walked in, pulled up one of the tiny chairs and started chatting with them like I would anyone else. They were very sceptical at first, which was to be expected at that age, however the girl sitting next picked up a piece of her taco meat and offered it to me. This was before the pandemic so naturally I accepted it and thanked her. After that all the kids in that class were cool with me.

The same day I also helped out with what they described as a "corn in the nose" situation. I laugh about it to this day.
