Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When it comes to indoor activities I normally enjoy playing board games and telling stories. As I am someone who can speak French I love to teach others French as well. When it comes to outdoor play, the best thing is a nice game of tag and allowing them to get the 60 minutes of outside time that is recommended.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is connecting with the child on a emotional level. As I have met babysitter who believe that only caring for the child is enough. I believe to transform an experience between a child and someone they do not know is to level with the child. Make sure that they know I am not there to harm them but ensure that they have the best night they possibly can. Children tend to shy away from authority figures, but by leveling with them and getting to know them it's easier for both parties involved to come together and have a great time.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a special needs cousin that I genuinely love caring for. I understand children with special needs only need more one on one time to get the care the need and deserve. I am a very patient and loving person who enjoys spending that one on one time with children I believe it is what makes a nanny not only a nanny but a friend.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was my first time ever babysitting another child from a different family. I went for my initial consultation appointment that I use to get to know the child before I babysitting. She was a 5 year old girl and as I approached her she asked me if I was the new princess her mom had told her was coming to play with her. I couldn't help but smile when she handed me a tiara and staff, and she told me as a princess your going to need it.
