I am a Secondary Education major at Texas Tech, and I am excited to begin my future career in teaching, so working with children is something I am truly passionate about. Relevant experience where I have cared for children includes working at Christ the King here in Lubbock, working in daycares in my hometown, and providing private in-home babysitting. Through these roles, I have worked with children of different ages and have gained experience with daily routines, playtime, meals, supervision, and creating a safe and caring environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing all kinds of activities with children, especially reading, since I am a Secondary Education major with a minor in English and have always loved books and literacy. I was also very active in high school and played basketball, so I am always up for sports, running around outside, and active play. I also enjoy arts and crafts, board games, helping with homework, creative play, movie time, and just finding fun ways to keep kids engaged, comfortable, and happy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making children feel safe, loved, and cared for while also being someone their family can fully trust and rely on. I believe a nanny should create a positive environment where children can have fun, learn, and feel comfortable being themselves. Being able to build that trust with both the child and the parents is what matters most.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs, including helping with Special Olympics basketball teams and working with children with autism. These experiences have helped me become more patient, attentive, and understanding of different needs, personalities, and ways children communicate and engage with the world. I always aim to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where every child feels comfortable and included.
