Hi parents! My name is Nadia Crisanto. I am a 22-year-old, full-time, student at Cal State Long Beach looking to help families with taking care of their children, and whatever their needs may be. I love children and am a natural caregiver by heart. I have lots of energy, give plenty of attention, and have lots of patience. To describe myself, I am very attentive, playful, and kind. I plan to interact heavily with the children, have lots of playtimes inside and outside (if accessible), and ensuring we are doing lots of activities that promote learning. If needed I will also meal prep, clean after them, and ensure nap times are being met if needed for the child. I do have my own vehicle and will show proof of licensure just to reassure you. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience I've had is in my volunteer experiences during my high school years. During my high school years, I volunteered at a Summer program for an elementary. There I took care of the children, helped them with homework, we played outside together from games ranging from sports, exercise, tag, hide and seek and much more. I was always present for the children’s needs. Additionally, I also volunteered at a Think Together program for a middle school. Here I took care of the children, cleaned up after them, and participated in activities with the children both inside a classroom setting and outside. Additionally, I helped with signing out the children, speaking and letting the parents know of their progress and how they are doing in the program, and ensure that they are going with the guardians listed in the emergency contact list.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Additionally, there was no more room in the above section, but I also volunteered in a preschool. In the preschool, it was regulated that for my age, without certification nor credits going towards being a preschool assistant, we are not allowed to work with the children. Instead, as a volunteer I did a lot of the office work, typing papers out, organizing, cleaning up messes, and helping create/print new activities for the children. With this experience, I was able to indulge in the environment that children of this age experience from their preschool teachers. I was also able to learn how one should professionally speak to a preschooler, care for, and what kind of activities went into taking care of the children.
Regarding the activities, I absolutely love all and every activity I can do with children. This regards both indoors and outdoors. Whether it'd be active outdoor play or indoor learning activities and fun playtime. I always like to come up with new activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping parents out, alleviate stresses, and have a great time with the kids. Interact with the kids, help them learn new things, and keep them active. Do your best, not just the minimum, is my motto!
