More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a gymnastics coach, so I manage classrooms averaging sizes from 4 to 13 children at a time while also teaching gymnastics. I work with kids from the ages of 4 months old to 12 years old. I have also been a nanny in the past.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

A few activities I enjoy doing with children would include, teaching them gymnastics or other skills as well as coloring, teaching them shapes, letters, numbers and introducing them to music and instruments as well as dancing. I enjoy bringing fun to children while also helping them reach their milestones and achievements along the way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are many things that are important when it comes to being a nanny. However, I’d say paying attention because yes you must and need to pay attention to children for their safety first and foremost. On the other side of it, children just want to know that you (the caregiver) see them, acknowledge them, and care about them and whatever they may be doing. Even if it just them running around circles they want you to watch because it means something to them. Engage with them and feed into their interest.

My experience with special needs children...

I work with a child at my current job as a, gymnastics coach that has cerebral palsy and she has reached so many milestones. I have a letter of recommendation from her mother if you’d like to hear more on that experience. It has just been such an honor to work with her. I also have the honor of working with many children that have autism on different levels each day. It is very rewarding as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I am not currently a nanny however I am currently a coach. I have many favorite moments that I get to experience each and every day with my students. There is one that sticks out to me the most that just warms my heart each and every time I think about back on the day . It would have to be when my student who has a cerebral palsy took steps for the very first time on her own. It was such a rewarding and exciting moment to see her confidence, see her ability and her courage to do that and to see her progress of where she started and how far she’s come. Just to knowing that I was able to help her along her journey and show her that she is more than able is an amazing feeling so that is one of my favorite moments .
